We live in such a complexed world system where being the ultimate multi-hyphenate is revered, often required. Being the best-this, and the most-that, being able to do it all… at superhuman levels… perfectly.
And it’s often only a matter of time, a matter of time until our shoulders give out–due stress. A matter of time until our families, marriages and relationships fall apart– due being too busy. A matter of time until we look in the mirror and see the pressure of perfection pressed into our faces.
In Matthew 11: 28-30, Jesus tells us to come to Him just as we are, with our burdens and everything that makes us heavy, that He will cause us to find rest.
Let’s rest in that. Shall we!
